WHAT ARE THE SIGNS OF VISION-RELATED LEARNING DIFFICULTIES?
There are signs to look out for to know if your child has vision problems that could be affecting their learning process, and they include:
- Eye squinting
- Writing uphill or downhill
- Lack of interest in visual tasks or concentration, such as reading or looking at a computer screen for long periods
- Cross or non-straight eyes
- Frequent covering or rubbing of the eyes
- Headaches or sore eyes after a long period of reading
- Head turns or tilts when trying to focus
- Holding reading materials very close to the eyes or getting very close to the television
