Mr. A drives a car with a broken windshield and constantly complains that he finds it difficult to see traffic lights and signposts while driving.
What advice would you give Mr. A?
- Wash/clean the windshield?
- Keep managing the broken windshield?
- Repair/fix the broken windshield for a clearer view?
Your guess is as good as mine!
TREATMENT OF VIRAL KERATITIS
Viral keratitis usually involves the use of anti-viral medications and eye drops. An optometrist will examine you and prescribe these medications for you.
HOW CAN YOU PREVENT VIRAL KERATITIS?
- Avoid rubbing or scratching your eyes with dirty hands or if you have a cold sore and herpes blister.
- Do not use eye drops or medications that were not prescribed by your primary eye care provider.
- Contact lenses and cases must be adequately cleaned before each use.
Having learned about viral keratitis, we will discuss bacterial keratitis in our next post. Stay tuned!
