WHAT IS ADULT STRABISMUS (CROSSED EYES)

Adult strabismus is a manifest misalignment of the eyes. It is a result of the muscles of each eye being unable to move the eyes to look in the same direction. Anybody with adult strabismus always finds it difficult to focus or look at an object correctly. Strabismic eyes can send two different images to the brain, and this will create a visual disturbance that may result in double vision and confusion that can become debilitating. Several people who have strabismus have lived all their lives with it because they think and believe that this adult strabismus can correct itself and stop affecting them over time.
