HOW TO PROTECT YOUR EYES FROM HARMFUL BLUE LIGHT

The eye is a natural gift given to everybody, the same way sunlight is free and everywhere. Sunlight and all electronic devices play an essential role in our lives. However, there are some necessary things an Optometrist (eye doctor) recommends you do to help protect your eyes from harmful blue light.

COMMON WAYS TO PROTECT YOUR EYES FROM HARMFUL BLUE LIGHT.

  1. Always blink
  2. Rest your eyes from digital devices.
  3. Follow the 20-20-20 rule that says: for every 20 minutes, look away for 20 seconds at something 20 feet away.
  4. Use specialized Anti-reflective lenses(computer lenses).
  5. Use a mobile screen protector.
  6. Set your digital devices on eye care mode.
  7. Book an eye examination with your optometrist.

SHOULD THERE BE A LIMIT ON THE USE OF ELECTRONIC DEVICES?

YES, and this limit is created by;

  1. Set a boundary on when to watch digital screens at home.
