BLUE LIGHT AND THE EYES
Many years of dedication to a job made a staff by the name (Anderson) of a reputable organization gain a promotion. This promotion led him to become a regular user of mobile phones and laptops, given the additional responsibilities associated with his new role.
Like Anderson, many of us throughout the entire day spend several hours on our electronic devices; these devices emit blue light to our eyes.
WHAT IS BLUE LIGHT?
Blue light is a component of the visible light spectrum that typically ranges from 380 to 500 nanometers in wavelength. The human eye can detect only visible light among the various forms of electromagnetic radiation.
All other categories of electromagnetic rays remain invisible to our eyes. In general, a shorter wavelength corresponds to higher levels of energy, and blue light has a short wavelength, so it emits a higher amount of energy.
SOURCES OF BLUE LIGHT.
They include:
- Sunlight
- Laptops
- LED TV
- Smartphones
- Tablet screens
