WHAT IS AN ANTI-REFLECTIVE COATING?

Anti-reflective (AR) Anti-reflective (AR), also known as anti-glare, is a coating applied on the surface of the lens to eliminate the reflection of light (bouncing off), allowing the required amount of light to enter the eyes for optimal vision.

IS ANTI-REFLECTIVE COATING NECESSARY?

YES!!! For example, if 100% of light is required. A lens without this coating will bounce off 10% of available light, allowing only 90% of light to enter the eyes. However, a lens with a reflective coating will allow about 99.8% of available light to enter the eyes. Now, do the math; which of the lenses will give optimal vision?

You may be thinking, but I do not use prescription glasses, so there is no need for this coating, right? Well, as long as you have eyes or wear sunglasses, you will also require this coating. The good news is that sunglasses should have this coating too. Remember, the aim is to allow the right amount of available light to enter the eyes, whether with prescribed or non-prescribed glasses.
